Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus and the Galaxy Note 10 are currently the talk of the town. They have been described by some people as the best phones ever. A few days after the official launch date, these phones are already available in Kenya. Are you thinking about buying one of these phones? Here are things that you should know:
They have more powerful processors than S10 series phones
Note series and S series phones released in the same year always have the same chipsets. The Galaxy Note 9 and the Galaxy S9 were powered by the same processor. However, this time around, Samsung Note 10 has a slightly better processor than the Samsung Galaxy S10. The new note series phones are equipped with the new Exynos 9825 processor built on the 7nm manufacturing process. This is an upgrade of the Exynos 9820 chipset which powers the S10 and the S10 Plus. Exynos 9825 is the world’s first processor utilizing EUV technology.
The new S-Pen is better than the previous S-Pen
The S Pen has been the signature feature of Note series phones. The Korean phone maker has been improving it and adding more functionalities over the years. In last year’s note release. Samsung added Bluetooth functionality to the stylus making it possible for it to be used as a remote control. This year, they have added “Air Action”. This new feature allows you to trigger different actions using gestures. For example, you can zoom the camera, in or out by moving the S Pen.
They are the first flagships from Samsung without the 3.5mm headphone jack
Apple ditched the 3.5mm jack a few years ago. This move disappointed a lot of people who were loyal to the Apple brand. Many brands followed suit and eliminated the socket from their flagships. Samsung was one of the few companies that maintained this port. However., it seems Samsung has now joined the bandwagon. Samsung Note 10 and Note 10+ don’t have the 3.5mm headphone jack. However, they come with the USB type C to 3.5mm adapter that will allow you to use the regular wired earphones.
Up to 45W super-fast charging technology
Both the Note 10 and the Note 10+ support 45W fast charging? Impressive? Unfortunately, the phones don’t ship with 45W fast charging adapters. What you will find inside the box is a 25W adapter. If you want to enjoy 45W fast charging, you will have to buy a 45W fast charger separately. According to Samsung, the 45W adapter can recharge the phone fully, from 0% in just 30 minutes.
The Galaxy Note 10 does not have MicroSD slot
Note 10 does not allow the use of a memory card for storage expansion. Note 10 Plus, on the other hand, has a microSD card slot. This will certainly discourage anyone who was planning to use a memory card from buying the smaller variant in the Note 10 series. However, the phone has 256GB onboard storage., which is enough for most people. The Note 10+ microSD slot allows memory expansion up to 1TB.
