Samsung has just unveiled a new A-series phone, the Samsung Galaxy A10s. The new phone is an improvement to the Galaxy A10. The improvements include a larger battery, a dual-lens camera and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor – a feature that is missing in the A10 (currently retailing at KSh. 11,500).
Over the past months, the Galaxy A10 has been one of the most popular budget phones in Kenya. However, it has been facing stiff competition from other affordable phones such as the Infinix Smart 3 Plus. Some people have avoided buying the A10 because it lacks a fingerprint scanner, a feature that is available in most competing devices.
The A10s comes with a 6.2 inches Infinity V display with 720 by 1520 pixels resolution. It is equipped with an octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. 4 cores in the CPU are clocked at 2.0GHz while the remaining 4 are clocked at 1.5GHz. It has 32GB onboard storage space and a microSD card slot.
Samsung Galaxy A10s features a dual-lens camera at the back with a 13MP lens with an f/1.8 aperture paired with a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing shooter is 8MP and has an f/2.0 aperture.
This smartphone is powered by a massive 4000mAh battery (this is 600mAH more than what you get in the Galaxy A10). It runs on Android v9.0 pie out of the package with One UI.
The Galaxy A10s will be available in four colors- Black, Red, Green, and Blue. As it has always been, it will take some time before it is available in the country.
