This phone has a lot of similarities with the A9.  However, there are a few changes that differentiate the two smartphones.  For example, the older phone has a 6.5-inch full HD display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution while the A9s will have a display with 720 pixels by 1600 pixels.  The A9s will also be powered by a different chipset. Snapdragon 665 is made with the 11nm manufacturing process.

The A9s is expected to have 4GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage space. It is rumored that it will have Android Pie out of the package with ColorOS 6.0.1 user interface.  Like other Oppo A-Series phones, this phone is likely to have a large 5000mAh battery.
