Nokia 5.2, codenamed “Daredevil” is the next phone we should be expecting from HMD Global. This smartphone is expected to feature a 48 megapixels rear camera. Images of the phone that surfaced online show a handset with a triple lens rear camera enclosed in a circular module.
The Nokia branded device has a glossy finish and there is a fingerprint scanner just below the camera module. The display has a waterdrop styled notch.
Since HMD global took over the Nokia brand, it embarked on making smartphones that run on Android. These smartphones are featured in Google’s Android One Program; meaning they are eligible to receive regular software updates.
According to @Nokia_anew twitter page, this phone will also feature Carl Zeiss lens, OZO Audio, and PureDisplay. These and other features effectively make the 5.2 a solid upgrade over the Nokia 5.1.
The images of the Daredevil were spotted on Baidu. Another set of images from Nokiamob.net indicate that Nokia 5.2 will be powered by Snapdragon 660 processor, be fueled by a 3500 and have a full HD+ display. There is no word on whether the phone will support fast charging.
One of the lenses accompanying the 48MP lens is a wide-angle camera. This is because from the leaks, the camera UI show there is a wide -angle option.
