Android Pie update for Nokia 3 was rolled out earlier this month. HMD Global has now rolled out Android Pie update for the Nokia 1, one of the most popular budget Android phones in Kenya.

Nokia 1 was released in February 2018.  It runs on Android v8.0 Oreo (Go edition) out of the package.  Android Go is a lite version of the Android OS that is meant for devices with entry-level hardware and low RAM. 

It features a 4,5 inches screen with a resolution of 480 pixels by 854 pixels.  It is equipped with a MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and has 1GB of RAM.  This budget phone has 8GB internal storage space and allows the use of a microSD card of up to 128GB.

Nokia 1 has a 2 megapixels front facing camera and a 5 megapixels back camera.  It is powered by a 2150mAh battery that is removable.
