Samsung has announced that a new device that will be joining the M series, the Samsung Galaxy M40. It will join the Samsung M10, M20, and M30. Samsung M10 and M20 are already available in Kenya. Samsung M30 is likely to be available in the country within a few weeks. The M40 will be launched in India on June 11. As it has always been, it will take some time before the Galaxy M40 gets into the country.
Highlights of Samsung Galaxy M40
We had earlier reported that the Galaxy M40 might come with a 5000mAh battery. Well, the rumor was wrong on this. A report from SamMobile states that this phone will feature a 3500mAh battery instead. This makes it less impressive than the M20 and the M30. Fortunately, it’s expected to come with a 15W fast charging adapter.
Triple rear camera
This smartphone will feature a triple lens camera on the rear consisting of a 32 megapixels primary lens, an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens and a 5 megapixels depth sensor. The front-facing camera is 16 megapixels.
Samsung Galaxy M40 arrives with a 6.3 inches full HD Super AMOLED display with 1080 pixels by 2340 pixels resolution.
It will be powered by Snapdragon 675 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. 128GB onboard storage space is available and it has a memory card slot supporting cards of up 1TB. This will be the first M series phone running on Android Pie out of the package with Samsung’s One UI.
