The next Galaxy M device that you should expect is the Samsung Galaxy M40. It is a device targeting the budget shoppers that follows the Galaxy M10, M20 and M30. The device was recently spotted on GeekBench. The details reveal that Samsung has opted to use Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset instead of their in-house Exynos chipsets.
It a surprise that this phone may have a Snapdragon 675 processor since all the other Galaxy M series phones that were recently launched use Exynos chipsets. The listing also indicated that the M40 will have 6GB of RAM and will run Android v9.0 Pie.
This phone is expected to come in 3 colors: Blue, Black, and Coral. Other rumors suggest that it will have a 128GB internal storage variant and a 5000mAh battery, similar to the one Samsung Galaxy M30 is equipped with. The rumors also suggest that the Galaxy M40 will support 15W fast charging.
