There are two variations of the smartphone in the local market:
- Tecno Spark 3 Pro – 2GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage, 4G support.
- Tecno Spark 3 – 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, 3G support.
Other highlights of these smartphones include a dual lens rear camera consisting of a 13MP lens and a 2MP lens and Android 9.0 Oreo. I’m mentioning the OS as a highlight because its predecessor, the Tecno Spark 2, is an Android Go device.
It’s a shame that Tecno is still launching 3G devices when there are many cheaper 4G devices in the market from the other competing brands. The only people who will buy the 3G version of the Spark 3 are those don’t care about 4G. Anyone who cares about 4G will definitely opt for the Pro version or switch to other brands.
The 4G variant is available at KSh. 12,499 while the 3G variant recommended retail price is KSh. 10,999.
