One of Infinix S5’s key features is the hole-punch display, which is fast becoming a popular feature for phones under 15,000. This gives it a modern look and helps it stand out from the crowd. However, the 6.6-inch screen has average image quality and the resolution is only HD+, so videos don’t look that good.
The body is made plastic and the glossy finish attracts fingerprints easily. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, which is not very powerful. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. It supports two SIM cards and it has a dedicated slot for a memory card. The S5 runs on XOS Cheetah UI, which has plenty of customizations, which can sometimes feel overwhelming. The bundled applications can also be annoying to you with a lot of notifications.
The quad-camera setup at the back includes a primary 16-megapixel lens. This captures acceptable picture quality in daylight but exposure and focus speed are not always up to the mark. The wide-angle camera is not very good with detail, especially in low light areas. The same can be used for Super Macro shots too but the quality is average.
Battery life is decent. It’s 4000mAh battery should give you a comfortable all-day-long run-time, if not more. However, there’s no fast charging and USB Type-C port, which is a little disappointing.
In general, the Infinix S5 offers great value.
